Technical Office Engineer

Description:

The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of relevant experience, with strong technical knowledge and practical experience in structural strengthening, concrete repair, and waterproofing works.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.

• Prepare and coordinate shop drawings for structural strengthening, concrete repair, waterproofing, and related specialist works.

• Prepare technical submittals, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.

• Carry out quantity take-offs and cost estimations for materials, manpower, equipment, and subcontracted works.

• Prepare and support technical and commercial evaluations for variations and additional works.

• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, procurement, and other project stakeholders.

• Follow up on consultant approvals for drawings, materials, method statements, and other submissions.

• Provide technical support to site teams during project execution.

• Ensure all drawings and submissions comply with project specifications, authority requirements, and applicable standards.

• Maintain proper technical records and assist in resolving technical issues arising during execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in technical office engineering.

• Previous experience in structural strengthening and concrete repair is highly preferred.

• Experience with CFRP strengthening, concrete jacketing, crack repair, waterproofing, and rehabilitation works will be an advantage.

• Strong experience in estimation, quantity take-off, shop drawings, and technical submittals.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, and approval procedures.

• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• UAE construction experience is preferred.
