Description:
The Ayurveda Therapist will be responsible for performing Ayurvedic therapies and wellness treatments as prescribed by the Ayurveda Doctor, maintaining treatment rooms, ensuring patient comfort, and delivering a professional and therapeutic experience that reflects the clinic’s high standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Treatments
- Perform Ayurvedic therapies as prescribed by the Ayurveda Doctor.
- Conduct treatments including but not limited to:
- Abhyanga (Ayurvedic Oil Massage)
- Shirodhara
- Potli Massage
- Udwarthanam
- Kizhi Therapies
- Pizhichil
- Nasya Assistance
- Steam Therapy
- Panchakarma Assistance
- Herbal Applications and other Ayurvedic procedures
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout treatments.
- Explain treatment procedures and aftercare instructions to patients when required.
- Monitor patient responses during treatments and report concerns to the Ayurveda Doctor.
Clinic Operations
- Prepare treatment rooms, oils, herbal formulations, and equipment before appointments.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control standards in treatment areas.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of Ayurvedic medicines, oils, and consumables.
- Assist in inventory management and notify management regarding stock requirements.
- Follow clinic protocols, DHA regulations, and safety standards.
Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain accurate treatment records as required by the clinic.
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, reception staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist in scheduling and managing patient flow efficiently.
- Support promotional wellness programs, health camps, and patient education initiatives when required.
RequirementsEducation & Experience
- Certification or Diploma in Ayurvedic Therapy, Panchakarma Therapy, Ayurveda Nursing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ayurveda Therapist.
- Experience in a clinic, hospital, wellness center, or Ayurveda center is preferred.
- Knowledge of traditional Ayurvedic therapies and Panchakarma procedures.
Skills & Competencies

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong commitment to hygiene, patient safety, and service excellence.
- Basic English communication skills; Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Arabic, or other languages are an advantage.
