Traffic Engineer

Description:

An excellent opportunity is available for a qualified Traffic Engineer to join a professional engineering team in Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in traffic impact studies, road safety analysis, and traffic management planning, along with a strong understanding of local authority requirements within Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting transportation and infrastructure projects by ensuring compliance with local standards and providing technical input across design and construction stages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, assess, and review traffic impact studies and detailed traffic assessments
• Develop, review, and coordinate temporary traffic management and diversion plans
• Review road and junction designs to ensure alignment with Abu Dhabi and UAE authority standards
• Coordinate and liaise with relevant authorities such as DMT, ITC, ADM, and other stakeholders to secure necessary approvals
• Provide ongoing technical support during both design development and construction phases

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of professional experience in traffic engineering or transportation planning
• Previous involvement with Abu Dhabi or UAE authority submissions and approval processes
• Proficiency in traffic and design software such as Synchro, SIDRA, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools
• Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills
