Treasury Back Office Analyst

What You Will Be Doing

  • Execute and confirm treasury transactions accurately and in a timely manner, including but not limited to money market trades, FX deals, derivatives, and other treasury products.
  • Perform reconciliations of treasury transactions with counterparties, ensuring accuracy and completeness of trade confirmations, settlements, and documentation.
  • Monitor and manage cash positions, ensuring sufficient liquidity for daily operations while optimizing cash balances.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as front office traders, risk management, finance, and compliance teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to treasury transactions.
  • Assist in the implementation and enhancement of back-office systems and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control.
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to treasury operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and assisting in remediation efforts as necessary.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness of the treasury function and supporting the bank's strategic objectives.

 

What You Should Have

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in treasury operations, back-office functions, or a similar role within a financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of money markets, FX, and other treasury products, including their lifecycle and settlement processes.
  • Proficiency in using treasury management systems (TMS), SWIFT, and other relevant software applications.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to treasury operations in the UAE is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) qualifications would be advantageous.
