Veterinarian

Description:

Our client is an exciting startup in the Pet Care space digitizing and improving ease of access to top quality care for our furry friends. We are seeking a Veterinarian to be primarily responsible for Animal Patient Care and management of junior team members. You will be caring, have genuine compassion for Pets and hold excellent communication skills to manage a wide set of situations.

Responsibilities

Examine patients to assess their health and diagnose problems

Perform tests, treatment and Vaccination

Perform surgeries on patients and provide required treatment as per diagnosis

Prescribe all medications, medicated Food and treatment protocols

Operate Medical Equipment including X-ray, ultrasound, and all Lab machines

Maintain all the record of controlled drugs used as per patient treatment or surgery, for example Anesthesia drugs

Maintain all medications and proper storage of vaccines

Municipality Tag Registration of Patients, and Records of all Controlled drugs used

Inspection of Food items of Animal origin (Meat, Fish, Poultry) to prevent Zoonotic disease; in case of any zoonotic diseases, inform the concerned authority like Dubai Municipality to prevent spread of the disease

Providing Health certificate after examining the patient and checking all the vaccination records to support client and patient’s travel needs

Demonstrate all the tasks required to maintain hygienic environment in clinic to prevent nosocomial infections and maintain biosecurity

Qualifications

Medical Degree in Veterinary Medicine with equivalency certificate in UAE; MOCCAE Veterinary License holders would be preferred

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Veterinarian in UAE

Effective communication skills, both with clients and within the Veterinary team

Familiarity with veterinary clinic management software
