Key Responsibilities – Veterinary Doctor
- Conduct comprehensive clinical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop appropriate treatment plans for small animals.
- Perform consultations and provide professional medical advice to pet owners regarding diagnosis, treatment options, preventive care, and long-term health management.
- Perform soft tissue surgeries, including spay, neuter, mass removal, wound repair, and other routine surgical procedures.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging, including ultrasound and X-ray examinations.
- Handle emergency and critical care cases, including stabilization, diagnosis, and treatment of hospitalized patients.
- Prescribe and administer medications, vaccinations, IV fluids, and other medical treatments in accordance with veterinary best practices.
- Collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory samples, including blood, urine, cytology, and other diagnostic tests.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, treatment plans, and surgical notes.
- Educate pet owners on disease prevention, nutrition, vaccination schedules, parasite control, and post-operative care.
- Provide compassionate, professional, and effective client communication throughout consultations and follow-up appointments.
- Collaborate with veterinary nurses, assistants, and support staff to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment while adhering to veterinary regulations and clinic protocols.
- Support inventory management, medical equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement of clinical standards.
Requirements – Veterinary Doctor
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), BVSc, or an equivalent veterinary degree recognized by the relevant licensing authority.
- Minimum 4 years of clinical experience after graduation as a Veterinary Doctor in a small animal practice.
- Strong experience in small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, anesthesia, diagnostic imaging (Ultrasound and X-ray), dentistry, and emergency and critical care.
- Proficient in performing routine surgical procedures, including spay, neuter, dental scaling, and mass removal.
- Excellent diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced veterinary clinic.
