Description:
Job Title: Windows System Administrator
Location: Dubai, UAE
Experience: 4+ years
Notice Period: Immediate to 25 days preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers (2012/2016/2019/2022).
- Manage Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Maintain server backups and recovery processes (e.g., Veeam, Windows Backup).
- User account and permissions management.
- Manage file and print servers, DFS, and remote desktop services.
- Monitor logs and respond to system alerts and notifications.
- Perform regular security audits and hardening of Windows systems.
- Work closely with network and security teams to ensure compliance and best practices.
Technical Skills Required:
- Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022)
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO
- PowerShell scripting for automation
- Windows patch management (WSUS/SCCM)
- Backup tools (e.g., Veeam, Symantec, Windows Backup)
- VMware/Hyper-V virtualization basics
- Familiarity with cloud (Azure AD, Microsoft 365, or hybrid environments) is a plus
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, firewall, VPN)
