Description:
Experienced flooring installer with strong hands-on knowledge in wooden flooring, raised access flooring, vinyl flooring, and carpet installation. Able to carry out flooring works from site preparation through final installation and finishing, with a strong understanding of construction drawings, levels, measurements, and site coordination.
Key Experience & Skills
- Installation of wooden flooring, engineered wood and laminate flooring
- Installation of raised access flooring systems, including pedestals, stringers and floor panels
- Vinyl flooring / LVT installation, including surface preparation, self-levelling and adhesive application
- Carpet and carpet tile installation with proper alignment, cutting and finishing
- Floor preparation, grinding, patching and levelling before installation
- Setting out, measurement and accurate cutting of flooring materials
- Installation around doors, walls, columns, partitions and other interfaces
- Understanding of flooring drawings, layouts and site dimensions
- Joint treatment, skirting, edge finishing and repair works
- Identification and rectification of installation defects and snags
- Safe handling of flooring materials, tools and equipment
- Coordination with site engineers, supervisors and other trades
- Experience working on commercial, residential, hospitality and fit-out projects in Dubai/UAE
