Accountant

Description:

A packaging industry company based in Sharjah is seeking a qualified Accountant to manage its financial operations within the UAE. This role is suitable for professionals with strong knowledge of accounting practices, VAT regulations, and UAE free zone and customs procedures.

The selected candidate will handle daily bookkeeping, financial reporting, VAT compliance, and support audit activities. The role also involves working with customs documentation and assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.

• Handle VAT filing and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.

• Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and accounting records.

• Manage customs and free zone documentation and processes.

• Assist in monthly financial statements and reporting.

• Support internal and external audit processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience in the UAE.

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, customs, and free zone operations.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Strong knowledge of:

    • UAE VAT compliance and regulations

    • Customs and free zone accounting procedures

    • Financial reporting and bookkeeping systems
