Accountant

Description:

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with budget and closing processes. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy of financial data and supporting the overall financial operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records for accuracy
• Post daily transactions and journal entries
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations
• Resolve discrepancies promptly
• Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely processing and accuracy
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
• Monitor budget performance and report variances
• Ensure compliance with regulations and tax requirements
• Assist in tax filings and audits
• Aid in implementing new accounting systems and processes
• Assist with financial analysis and special projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2-5 years of accounting or related experience
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
• Preferably experience in the shipping sector
• Good problem-solving and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure
