Accountant / Acting Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Daily Accounting: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Retail & Inventory Control: Oversee daily supermarket sales reconciliation, POS (Point of Sale) system audits, and inventory valuation/shrinkage tracking.
Supplier Management: Reconcile supplier statements and manage payment schedules for FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) vendors.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
Compliance: Ensure accurate calculation, filing, and compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
Management (For Acting Finance Manager): Supervise junior accounting staff, optimize financial processes, and provide strategic financial advice to management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA/CMA certification is a major plus).
Experience:
Minimum 6 to 8 years of accounting experience in the UAE, specifically within the supermarket, hypermarket, or retail sector.
For the Acting Finance Manager role, prior supervisory or senior accounting experience is required.
Skills:
Proficiency in retail ERP/accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or specialized retail POS systems) and advanced MS Excel.
Strong understanding of retail margins, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory management.
Location: Candidates currently residing in Ajman, Sharjah, or Dubai with the ability to commute are preferred.
Joining Status: Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be given preference.
