Accounts Assistant

Aujan Dubai is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team in Dubai, UAE. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in accounting or finance, particularly those with experience in the interior fit-out or construction industry. As an Accounts Assistant, you will support daily financial operations, assist in the preparation of financial records, and contribute to accurate and timely reporting. You will also play an important role in maintaining documentation, handling transaction records, and assisting with audits and VAT filing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and maintaining up-to-date financial records and reports.

• Record journal entries and reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts.

• Support the finance team during month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Handle accounts receivable and payable, including invoice processing and payment follow-ups.

• Maintain organized documentation for all financial transactions.

• Assist senior accountants with audits, budgeting, and financial forecasting.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, UAE VAT laws, and accounting standards.

• Maintain accurate records and an organized filing system for financial documentation.

• Support general finance-related administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience in the UAE.

• Prior work experience in the interior fit-out or construction industry is mandatory.

• Proficient in accounting software such as Tally or QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and organizational abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• Candidates on a spouse visa are preferred, though all eligible candidates will be considered.

• Must be currently based in the UAE.
