Assistant Accountant

Description:

We are recruiting an entry-level Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This position is ideal for recent graduates or junior candidates who want hands-on exposure to day-to-day accounting tasks and who are keen to develop practical skills within a busy shipping environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with routine bookkeeping activities such as recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and filing supporting documents.
• Prepare and organize accounting records, reports, and spreadsheets to support financial tracking.
• Help senior accountants with reconciliations, audit preparations, and month-end closing tasks.
• Follow company accounting procedures and learn internal processes under supervision.
• Support ad-hoc finance tasks and administrative duties as required to keep operations running smoothly.

Requirements:
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (fresh graduates encouraged to apply).
• Familiarity with Zoho Books or Zoho Creator is an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel for data entry and basic analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and a reliable work ethic.
• Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and readiness to grow into greater responsibilities
