Description:
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager - Investments Operations professional to join our Treasury Operations Centre (TOC). The role is critical in ensuring accurate processing, settlement, and risk management of investment transactions while safeguarding the bank’s financial interests.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate settlement of all bank and customer investment deals to avoid additional costs
- Manage the full lifecycle of investment products including Bonds, Repo, Reverse Repo, Equities, and EMTNs
- Monitor investment transactions within approved limits and report exceptions
- Oversee portfolio, P&L, Nostro, and custody reconciliations
- Track and settle collateral exposure under CSA agreements
- Ensure timely receipt and payment of coupons, dividends, commissions, and fees
- Maintain investment accounting setup and accurate MIS reporting
- Liaise with internal, external, and regulatory auditors
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and custody account alignment
- Draft, maintain, and improve Treasury Operations procedures to reduce operational risk
🛠 Systems & Environment
- Hands-on experience with treasury and settlement systems such as Globus, Flexcube, Swift, Euroclear (Euclid)
- Strong understanding of DVP settlement, investment risks, and exception handling
- Close coordination with Treasury Front Office, Finance, Market Risk, and Accounts teams
🎯 Key Skills & Experience
- Postgraduate degree in Finance with a strong quantitative background
- 6+ years of relevant Treasury Operations experience
- Strong knowledge of treasury instruments, fixed income, derivatives, equities, and risk management
- Experience with IAS 39
- Treasury systems experience or relevant treasury certifications preferred
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
