Description:

IAS is expanding its Indirect Tax team in Dubai and is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Indirect Tax to support clients with VAT, Excise Tax, FTA matters, refunds, and e-invoicing requirements.

This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious VAT professional who has strong UAE tax experience and is ready to take on greater responsibility. The successful candidate will work with medium and large businesses while providing expert tax advisory and compliance support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage indirect tax assignments including VAT, Excise Tax, refunds, and e-invoicing services.

• Support clients with FTA audits, disputes, voluntary disclosures, reconsiderations, penalty waivers, and refund applications.

• Provide tax advisory support and assist businesses in meeting UAE compliance requirements.

• Review tax positions, identify potential risks, and recommend practical solutions.

• Manage client relationships and deliver high-quality indirect tax services.

• Stay updated with UAE VAT, Excise Tax regulations, and FTA developments.

Requirements:

• 5–8 years of indirect tax experience.

• Minimum 4 years of UAE VAT and Excise Tax experience.

• Hands-on experience dealing with FTA matters including audits, voluntary disclosures, reconsiderations, penalty waivers, and refunds.

• Strong analytical, communication, and client management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work with medium and large business clients.

• Strong knowledge of:

    • UAE VAT and Excise Tax regulations.

    • FTA compliance, audits, disputes, and tax procedures.

    • Indirect tax advisory and client support.
