Automatic Press Setter & Operator

Description:

We are hiring an experienced Automatic Press Setter & Operator to manage the setup, operation, and maintenance of high-speed presses used in the manufacturing of aluminium can ends. The ideal candidate will have 5 – 7 years of hands-on experience in a reputed metal can production company and a deep understanding of safety, precision, and productivity in press operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate high-speed automatic press machines (e.g., shell and tab conversion presses)

• Optimize machine settings to ensure high-quality output and minimal downtime

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor troubleshooting • Monitor press performance and conduct regular quality checks using measuring tools

• Record production data and machine performance logs accurately

• Work closely with maintenance and quality assurance teams

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Required Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of experience as a press setter/operator in a reputable metal can or metal packaging production facility

• Proven expertise in operating presses from manufacturers like Minster, Schuler, or similar

• Strong understanding of can-end production processes (shell & tab lines)

• Ability to read mechanical drawings and operate precision instruments

• Technical diploma or vocational training in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing fields

• Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Familiarity with production reporting and quality assurance protocols
