Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM/CAD Specialist – Urban Planning to join our team! In this role, you will get to contribute to the successful delivery of urban planning and master planning projects by developing high-quality BIM/CAD deliverables, supporting digital workflows and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to drive efficient project execution.
What You'll Be Doing
- Work closely with the BIM Manager to ensure project deliverables are aligned with established BIM/CAD standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with Urban Planners and Designers to develop and maintain BIM/CAD models, layouts, and planning documentation.
- Prepare base maps, land use plans, plot development guidelines (PDGs), sign-off sheets, and other urban planning deliverables.
- Support authority submission packages and demonstrate familiarity with planning regulations and approval processes, including DM, DDA, and other relevant authorities.
- Develop, manage, and coordinate planning layouts and land use schedules in accordance with project requirements.
- Utilize AutoCAD to produce accurate drawings and layouts, ensuring compliance with project standards and quality requirements. Experience with MicroStation and Civil 3D is highly desirable.
- Apply BIM workflows, standards, and best practices to support project delivery, consistency, and team efficiency.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and incorporate project feedback into BIM/CAD models and documentation.
- Support the adoption of digital tools, automation initiatives, and AI-enabled workflows that enhance productivity, quality, and project delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce repetitive tasks, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a BIM/CAD role within the Urban Planning, Master Planning or Architecture sector.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of BIM principles, workflows, standards and digital delivery processes.
- Understanding of urban planning documentation, land use planning, and authority submission requirements.
- Experience with MicroStation and Civil 3D is preferred.
