Bookkeeping and Accounting Supervisor

Description:

ADEPTS is looking for an experienced Accounting & Bookkeeping Supervisor to lead client accounting assignments, supervise team members, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise accounting and bookkeeping assignments for multiple clients.
• Review journal entries, general ledgers, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and cash flow reports.
• Review VAT workings and support corporate tax compliance.
• Guide junior accountants, review their work, and maintain quality standards.
• Coordinate with clients to resolve queries and meet reporting deadlines.
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA, CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including team supervision.
• UAE experience, preferably within an accounting or professional services firm.
• Sound knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and corporate tax fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally, or Xero.
• Strong communication, client management, and organisational skills.
