Career Guidance Counsellor

Dubai Scholars Private School is seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and highly motivated Career Guidance Counsellor to join our team for the academic year 2026–27.
Key Responsibilities:
· Adopt a structured, scaffolding approach to support students in exploring, generating, and developing informed career pathways.
· Conduct formal psychometric assessments and provide career counselling starting from Year 8 onwards.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive student portfolios, including exploration of courses and universities across various career clusters.
· Guide students in making informed decisions regarding subject choices, degree programmes, and career pathways.
· Support students with entrance examinations, personal statement writing, and the complete university application process, including documentation and submissions.
· Conduct individual counselling sessions with parents to discuss student-specific career pathways and options.
· Evaluate students’ abilities, interests, and aptitudes through interviews, assessments, and individual career planning.
· Support students in developing essential skills such as time management, organisation, and effective study habits.
· Liaise with local and international universities, as well as external career consultants.
· Organise and coordinate Career Fairs, university presentations, career exhibitions, and career guidance workshops.
· Assist in organising local and international university visits.
· Support Community Service and Outreach programmes (added advantage).
· Develop internship opportunities and experiential learning pathways for students.
· Create meaningful opportunities and experiences that enable students to explore their interests and passions.

Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Counselling
· A teaching qualification is an added advantage
· Minimum 2 years of experience in the UAE as a Guidance Counsellor
· Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
