Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our dynamic team at a well-established FMCG retail company with over 20 years of industry presence. The ideal candidate will be a semi-qualified or post-graduate in Commerce or ACA, with a strong background in inventory accounting, team leadership, and compliance with trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire accounting function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Handle inventory accounting within an ERP environment, ensuring accurate stock valuation and reporting.
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Manage import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with trade facilities and regulations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize financial performance.
- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
Requirements:
- Semi-qualified or post-graduate in Commerce, Accounting, or ACA.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the FMCG retail industry.
- Proven experience in inventory accounting within an ERP environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- In-depth knowledge of import and export documentation and trade compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
