Chief Accountant

Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Accountant to join a leading healthcare distribution company in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing large accounting portfolios, overseeing a team, and implementing processes to optimize accounting operations. You will be responsible for finalizing the balance sheet, preparing management reports, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the financial system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the finalization of the balance sheet and ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Lead and manage a team of 15+ accountants, ensuring effective day-to-day operations and task distribution.

• Responsible for the preparation of MIS reports and accurate financial forecasting.

• Implement financial processes and procedures to streamline operations and ensure compliance.

• Ensure that accounting entries are accurately recorded and comply with company policies.

• Manage the ERP system (preferably FOCUS ERP), ensuring data accuracy and process optimization.

• Maintain strong leadership qualities and take decisive action in problem-solving.

• Manage time and resources efficiently to meet tight deadlines.

• Provide regional (GCC) financial analysis and insights.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• CA / CFA, CPA or any equivalent finance degree (mandatory).

• 10 to 12 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a distribution or trading company.

• Experience handling large financial portfolios and finalizing balance sheets.

• Strong ERP experience, particularly with FOCUS ERP, is preferred.

• Leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a team.

• Strong decision-making abilities and the capability to drive financial processes.

• Ability to generate and analyze MIS reports and handle complex financial data.

• Regional (GCC) exposure is a must.

• Must be flexible with working hours and available for immediate joining (notice period of 1 month or less).
