Chief Investment Officer

Description:

AP Executive are working with a crypto start-up, still in stealth mode, to hire a Chief Investment Officer. The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) leads all AI-driven investment strategy, digital asset portfolio construction, derivatives risk modelling, execution strategies, and fund performance at the business and will play a key role in the long term success of the platform.

. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Build investment strategies including AI quant models, multi‑asset crypto portfolios, derivatives overlays. - Lead research on alpha discovery, predictive modelling, market microstructure, volatility modelling. - Oversee derivatives: options, futures, perps, swaps, structured strategies. - Collaborate with quant/AI teams to convert predictive signals into executable trades. - Set portfolio construction frameworks, risk budgets, volatility targets, and leverage guidelines. - Manage execution, liquidity, slippage, and trading performance. - Evaluate tokenised assets, DeFi opportunities, AMMs, yield platforms. - Establish governance, investment committee processes, and reporting. - Oversee regulatory filings, compliance, fund administration.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- 10+ years in hedge funds, digital asset management, derivatives trading, quant finance. - PhD/MSc in Quant Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics preferred. - Strong derivatives expertise (options pricing, greeks, vol surfaces, structured products). - Experience managing systematic or discretionary crypto portfolios. - Strong understanding of DeFi, liquidity, AMMs, on-chain risk.
