Description:
I’m recruiting for a hands-on Chief Technology Officer to join a fast-growing technology company in Dubai that develops advanced autonomous systems. The technical team is currently around 20 people, and the role needs someone who can both set the technical direction and get stuck into the engineering detail.
As CTO you will own the technology vision, roadmap and execution. You will lead the engineering team, oversee product development, and ensure technology initiatives support the company’s commercial goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and delivering the technology strategy and roadmap
- Leading end-to-end product development from concept through to deployment
- Hands-on technical leadership, reviewing architecture, contributing to complex engineering challenges, and raising the technical bar
- Building, mentoring and developing a high-performing engineering team of ~20 people
- Managing technical projects, risks, quality and delivery timelines
- Working closely with the CEO and wider leadership team on prioritisation, investment and stakeholder communication
- Staying ahead of relevant technology trends and driving innovation in autonomous systems
What I’m Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum 5 years in technology leadership roles, ideally with experience in robotics, autonomous systems or similar complex product environments
- Proven ability to lead and grow technical teams while remaining hands-on with the engineering
- Strong product development, system architecture and full-lifecycle delivery experience
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical topics for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in high-growth or scaling technology environments is an advantage
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance considerations is helpful
