Job Description Civil Inspector Dubai, UAE What You’ll Be Doing
- Inspecting day-to-day roadworks and utilities to ensure compliance with IFCIFCIFC drawings, specs, and Dubai authority requirements (RTA, DM, DEWA, Etisalat/du, Empower)\left(RTA,\ DM,\ DEWA,\ Etisalat/du,\ Empower ight)(RTA, DM, DEWA, Etisalat/du, Empower).
- Checking earthworks, pavement layers, kerbs, markings, drainage, water, sewerage, irrigation, district cooling, electrical and telecom ducts, trench backfilling, and reinstatement.
- Verifying WIRs/MIRs, witnessing tests, raising observations, supporting NCRNCRNCRs, and confirming corrective actions.
- Spot-checking setting-out, levels, gradients, and reporting discrepancies.
- Keeping daily inspection records and reports, and supporting as-built and handover documentation.
- Monitoring basic HSEHSEHSE aspects related to inspected works.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Diploma or Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology.
- Minimum 7 years’ civil site inspection experience, including 5+ years on roads/utilities and 3+ years in the UAE/GCC.
- Knowledge of RTA, DM QCS DEWA, Etisalat/du, Empower standards, trench reinstatement, and ITPs.
- Ability to read IFC drawings, use standard testing/inspection tools, keep accurate records, and use MS Office.
- Clear communication with Consultant, Contractor, and authorities.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring
- Experience on major Dubai roads and multi-utility projects.
- Strong coordination with authorities for NOCs, inspections, tie-ins, and handovers.
- Experience preparing as-built and authority submission packages.
- Solid awareness of site HSE and traffic management on live roads.
