Description:

Enrollme UAE is urgently looking for a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join an established IT team in Sharjah, UAE. This is a full-time position for a qualified professional with deep expertise in managing enterprise-level databases and IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in database design, implementation, maintenance, and performance tuning, with at least 3 to 4 years of core DBA experience in the UAE. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and integrity of business-critical data systems, while proactively managing security, backups, and disaster recovery plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server and MySQL databases in a high-availability environment.

• Monitor database performance, implement tuning strategies, and resolve database-related issues promptly.

• Perform database backups, restorations, and data recovery in alignment with business continuity protocols.

• Ensure database systems are secure, including managing user access and permissions.

• Develop and maintain database documentation, procedures, and policies.

• Collaborate with development and IT infrastructure teams to support application requirements and optimize query performance.

• Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production database systems.

• Analyze data storage needs and implement best practices for data archiving and retention.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• A minimum of 7 years of total IT infrastructure experience, including 3–4 years of hands-on database administration experience in the UAE.

• Proficient in SQL and MySQL, with experience in performance optimization and query tuning.

• Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures, database security, and high availability setups.

• Ability to work independently and handle critical database incidents under pressure.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
