Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Document Controller (PMO to join our team!
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead PMO-wide document control and governance, including standards, procedures, workflows, naming conventions, and metadata.
- Maintain master registers for all key documents (planning/design, drawings/models/specs, permits, contracts/changes, RFIs/submittals/as-builts, O&M and asset information).
- Administer and configure document management/PMIS platforms (e.g., Unifier, SharePoint, ProjectWise, Aconex), including roles, permissions, workflows, and integrations.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, security, and traceability across all repositories and program databases; produce dashboards and status reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, records retention laws, public records requirements, and contractual documentation obligations.
- Coordinate submission, review, and approval workflows and track submittals, RFIs, and change documentation to meet contractual turnaround times.
- Act as the main point of contact for document and data control across all PMO projects and support project controls, scheduling, and risk teams.
- Lead and mentor document control staff, deliver training to PMO staff and partners, monitor KPIs, and drive process improvements and automation.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in document control, records, or data management on large capital programs or portfolios.
- Prior experience in wastewater, water, environmental, or similar utility infrastructure, preferably in a PMO or public agency.
- Demonstrated experience administering enterprise EDMS/PMIS for multi-project programs and developing/enforcing program-level document control standards.
- Strong understanding of document control principles, document lifecycle, and version control, with high attention to detail and data integrity.
- Proficiency with major document/PMIS platforms used in capital projects (e.g., Unifier, SharePoint, ProjectWise, Aconex).
- Familiarity with wastewater utility documentation types and regulatory submittals.
- Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders and demonstrated leadership or team lead experience.
