Gulf Model School in Dubai, operating under the CBSE curriculum and approved by KHDA, is inviting applications from experienced education professionals for the position of Deputy Director / Academic Director. This leadership role is designed for a candidate who is passionate about academic excellence and capable of guiding the school toward high educational standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strong academic leadership, ensuring the effective delivery of the CBSE curriculum, and supporting the overall development of the school’s educational framework. The role involves close collaboration with department heads, teachers, and senior management to enhance teaching quality and student performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic academic leadership to maintain and improve high educational standards across the school
• Supervise and mentor Heads of Department and teaching staff, ensuring effective coordination between academic teams
• Monitor the implementation of the CBSE curriculum and ensure compliance with KHDA guidelines and regulations
• Develop and implement academic policies, teaching strategies, and improvement initiatives to enhance learning outcomes
• Evaluate and analyze students’ academic performance and introduce targeted improvement plans
• Support the Principal and Director in managing academic operations and planning school development strategies
• Organize teacher training programs, workshops, and professional development sessions to improve instructional practices
• Ensure consistent quality in teaching methods, student assessments, and learning standards throughout the institution

Deputy academic leaders typically play a vital role in maintaining academic standards, supervising teaching staff, and ensuring the effective delivery of the curriculum while assisting the school leadership with long-term planning and daily academic management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Education or a related field
• Minimum 5–8 years of teaching experience, including 3+ years in academic leadership roles such as HOD, Coordinator, or Vice Principal
• Strong understanding of CBSE curriculum guidelines and KHDA regulatory requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
• Proven capability to manage academic planning, teacher development, and school improvement programs
