Description:
The Director, Cards Strategy and Product will oversee the complete lifecycle, from product conception and design, to launch, growth, and ongoing development. You will guide cross-functional teams including product development, card operations, fraud and disputes, systems, and vendor management to ensure seamless delivery, operational excellence, and strong financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the Cards strategy, to help market share growth.
- Drive continuous product innovation, including new card propositions, reward structures, instalment plans, and co-branded programs.
- Oversee customer journey development, pricing models, and performance monitoring across the end-to-end lifecycle.
- Strengthen digital card experiences through enhanced UX/UI, streamlined onboarding, and digital wallet integrations.
- Expand portfolio performance through customer acquisition, engagement, usage growth, cross-selling, and retention initiatives.
- Manage commercial performance, including revenue optimization, cost efficiency, and profitability KPIs.
- Maintain strong governance in vendor relationships, outsourcing arrangements, and card scheme partnerships.
- Uphold regulatory compliance, scheme mandates, operational controls, and data security standards.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field.
- 15+ years of leadership experience in cards and payments within the banking industry.
- Deep expertise in card schemes, processing platforms, digital payments, and industry regulations.
- Proven ability to lead complex teams spanning business, operations, and technology domains.
- Strong stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and execution capabilities.
- Demonstrated success in building high-performing teams.
