Description:
We're looking for a Director of Paid Marketing to lead the team responsible for all paid acquisition and media at Deel. This is one of the highest-impact roles in the company: you'll own a budget of over $120M annually and be accountable for the performance marketing engine that drives pipeline across every segment and region.
You'll report directly to the Head of Marketing & Growth and lead a team of 11 people across four sub-functions: paid social and awareness, paid search, account-based marketing, and offline and sponsorship channels. This is a hands-on strategic role -- you'll be setting direction and getting into the details.
What You'll Own
- Full ownership of paid acquisition strategy and execution across paid social, paid search, programmatic, sponsorships (podcasts, newsletters, editorials), OOH, and ABM
- A $120M+ annual media budget -- deploying it efficiently and improving ROI at scale
- Performance against core metrics including cost per SQL, lead volume, and marketing-attributed pipeline
- Platform management across Meta, Google, LinkedIn, YouTube, Bing, and emerging channels including TikTok
- AI adoption across the team -- building automated workflows for campaign management, creative iteration, and performance reporting
- Cross-functional collaboration with brand, product marketing, regional marketing, RevOps, and growth engineering
- Team leadership across 4 direct reports and a total team of 11
What We're Looking For
- 7 to 8+ years in paid marketing, with at least 2 years running in-house paid programs at significant scale (not agency-side)
- 2 years+ managing a team
- Deep hands-on expertise in paid social -- Meta is your anchor channel; you know how B2B campaign structure works and why B2C instincts need adapting
- Comfortable managing across paid search, sponsorships, ABM, and OOH -- you don't need to be an expert in all of them, but you can lead teams that are
- Operated with budgets of $30M+ at minimum; fluency with the complexity that comes at that scale
- Strong analytical mindset -- you run on data, and you know what good looks like for cost per SQL and pipeline ROI
- A genuine AI-forward approach -- you're already thinking about where agents replace manual work in campaign management and creative production
- B2B SaaS experience preferred; B2C candidates considered if they can demonstrate clear understanding of what the migration requires
