English Teacher

Yas American Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team immediately. While experience with the American curriculum is preferred, it is not mandatory. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop a love for reading, writing, and communication while contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Encourage students’ creativity, literacy, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Assess, track, and report on student progress effectively.
• Support students’ wellbeing and motivation consistently.
• Communicate clearly with parents and colleagues.
• Contribute to departmental development and broader school initiatives.
• Uphold school policies, safeguarding standards, and core values.
• (Optional) Take on leadership responsibilities where appropriate.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or English Language/Literature (or a related field).
• Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience (American curriculum preferred; British or IB also welcome).
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Professional, flexible, and team-oriented mindset.
• Available for immediate start and eligible to work in the UAE.
