General Accountant

Description:

AWI, a reputed organization in Dubai, is currently hiring for the position of General Accountant. This opportunity is ideal for detail-oriented accounting professionals who have hands-on experience with SAP and a deep understanding of UAE financial regulations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for handling a wide range of accounting tasks with a primary focus on Accounts Payable. You will also be expected to ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, support financial reporting, and maintain the integrity of accounting records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices and payments

• Work with SAP ERP for daily accounting operations

• Monitor and ensure compliance with UAE VAT requirements

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and monthly closing

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain up-to-date financial documentation

• Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors as needed

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within the UAE

• Proficient in SAP and MS Office

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and UAE VAT laws

• Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines
