General Accountant

Description:

A reputable organization in Dubai is currently seeking a qualified and detail-oriented General Accountant to join its team on a full-time, on-site basis. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations. This position requires strong technical accounting knowledge along with the ability to work collaboratively to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.

The role involves handling end-to-end accounting functions, supporting tax compliance, and contributing to accurate financial reporting for management review. Candidates must have prior UAE accounting experience and a solid understanding of local VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
• Prepare financial statements and reports in line with company and regulatory requirements
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Assist in VAT and Corporate Tax preparation and compliance
• Ensure adherence to UAE financial laws and accounting standards
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks or Tally ERP for daily operations
• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
• Hands-on experience in accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliation processes
• Understanding of tax regulations and tax filing procedures
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA will be considered an advantage
• Experience with UAE-specific financial practices is preferred

Additional Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 2 years of relevant UAE accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations
• Experience working with accounting software systems
• Filipino nationality preferred
• Male candidates required
