General Accountant

 

Description:

My Shops UAE is seeking a meticulous and organized General Accountant to manage the company’s daily financial operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations. This role is essential for supporting the accounting function within a dynamic retail environment and requires a professional with strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and day-to-day financial transactions
  • Oversee retail sales reconciliations, monitor inventory, and conduct periodic stock audits
  • Process verified payments and support monthly and annual financial reporting activities
  • Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate financial records and streamline processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in the UAE, preferably in trading, retail, or distribution (electronics sector preferred)
  • Working knowledge of accounting and ERP systems such as Zoho Books, Odoo, or similar platforms
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines
  • Immediate joiners preferred
