Description:

This is a full‑time remote role for a Head of Sales at Velar Capitals. You will play a key leadership role directly influencing client acquisition, capital raised, and the overall scaling of the business.

The Head of Sales will own the B2C sales function for investment products, build and lead a team of investment / relationship managers, and create a systematic, data‑driven sales engine. You will work closely with the founders, product, and analytics teams, bringing market feedback from clients and ensuring our offering and communication stay aligned with investor needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, manage, and grow the B2C sales of investment products (late‑stage pre‑IPO, IPO, high‑yield bonds and related instruments).
  • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing team of investment / financial managers focused on private clients.
  • Design and continuously optimize the full sales funnel: leads → qualification → meetings → investment proposals → closing → ongoing relationship management.
  • Set and deliver plans for meetings, conversion rates, capital raised, and revenue; take full ownership of the commercial KPIs.
  • Personally lead key deals and work with top‑tier and strategic clients.
  • Implement and refine KPI systems, motivation schemes, and quality control for client communications.
  • Develop a culture of expert advisory sales and long‑term client relationships instead of transactional one‑off deals.
  • Work closely with product, analytics, and marketing to share structured feedback from the market and improve our offering and communications.
  • Maintain accurate management reporting and analytics in CRM; provide regular performance insights to the founders.

 

Who we are looking for

  • 3–6+ years of experience in investment product sales to private clients, including proven experience in a team lead / Head of Sales / Sales Manager role.
  • Hands‑on track record selling IPO, pre‑IPO, bonds, discretionary management or similar investment solutions to HNWI / affluent clients.
  • Strong experience building systematic sales (funnels, KPIs, revenue and AUM planning) rather than “manual” or purely relationship‑driven sales.
  • Proven ability to hire, lead, and develop a sales team, set clear goals, coach people, and consistently drive results.
  • Solid understanding of investment instruments and capital markets; able to be an expert for both clients and your team.
  • Commercial mindset with high ownership for numbers, growth, and profitability.

 

Language & Communication

  • Native or fluent Russian is mandatory, as the client base consists primarily of Russian‑speaking private investors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex investment products in clear, client‑friendly language.
  • Good command of English is a strong plus for internal communication and working with international partners.
