We are seeking a Head of Technical to join their team in Dubai UAE.
You will be responsible for overseeing the technical management, maintenance, and operational efficiency of the main and offshore fleet. This role ensures the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance while optimizing costs and fleet availability. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in fleet operations, engineering, and regulatory compliance, with a strategic mindset to drive innovation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Fleet Management & Maintenance:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Main and Offshore fleet maintenance and technical operations.
- Manage technical budgets, cost control measures, and procurement of spare parts. Drive cost efficiency.
- Ensure all vessels/vehicles meet industry safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Oversee maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to maximize fleet uptime.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and develop a high-performing technical team, including engineers, supervisors, and technical staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, efficiency, safety, and operational excellence.
Technical & Operational Efficiency:
- Optimize fleet performance through efficiency and technical innovation.
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies, including automation and sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations teams to align technical strategies with business goals.
Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, suppliers, and customers.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with service providers and technical partners.
- Represent the company in industry forums and regulatory discussions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in fleet technical management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Chief Engineer qualification.
- Technical knowledge of the Main (preferably Tankers) and Offshore vessels.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance, and safety protocols.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, optimize costs, and implement technical innovations.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
