Description:
We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer to create creative and technically sound design solutions for joinery-focused fit-out projects. The role involves translating client requirements into detailed concepts, layouts, and specifications, while coordinating with architects, joinery draughtsman, and project teams to ensure high-quality and accurate project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptual Design Develop and present interior design concepts that align with the client’s vision, balancing functionality, aesthetics, and cultural relevance.
- Space Planning Analyze spatial requirements and develop optimized layouts for interior (and where applicable, exterior) spaces, ensuring efficient flow, accessibility, and user comfort.
- Construction Documentation Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and design documentation for construction, ensuring compliance with local building codes, regulations, and project standards.
- Material & Finish Selection Select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures that enhance the overall design concept, with particular attention to durability, maintenance, and luxury project requirements.
- Collaboration & Coordination Work closely with clients, contractors, engineers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure cohesive project development. Participate in regular coordination meetings to manage expectations and resolve design-related issues.
- Project Management Oversee the interior design process from inception to completion, including coordination of timelines, budgeting inputs, and adherence to project schedules.
- Cultural Sensitivity Incorporate local architectural styles and cultural elements into designs, particularly for projects within the Middle East, ensuring contextual and culturally appropriate outcomes.
- Sustainability Implement sustainable design practices and eco-friendly materials where possible, aligning with modern design principles and growing sustainability requirements.
- Trend & Market Research Stay updated on emerging design trends, materials, technologies, and industry best practices to deliver innovative and contemporary design solutions.
- Client Liaison Maintain continuous communication with clients to provide progress updates, gather feedback, and ensure overall satisfaction throughout the design and construction phases.
