Description:
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to lead the planning, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise IT infrastructure for a major digital transformation project in the UAE.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, scalability, and performance of critical IT infrastructure while driving infrastructure modernization initiatives and delivering reliable technology services across the organization.
This role requires a strong technical leader with hands-on infrastructure expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience leading enterprise infrastructure teams and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, administration, and optimization of enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Manage servers, storage, virtualization platforms, network infrastructure, and data center operations.
- Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of all IT systems and services.
- Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation and post-deployment support.
- Administer Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity management services.
- Oversee cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments, including Microsoft Azure where applicable.
- Implement and manage enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Monitor infrastructure health and establish preventive maintenance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, IT governance policies, and organizational security requirements.
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams to identify and mitigate infrastructure vulnerabilities.
- Manage firewalls, VPNs, network switches, wireless infrastructure, and perimeter security solutions.
- Supervise infrastructure vendors, managed service providers, and third-party partners while ensuring SLA compliance.
- Prepare infrastructure budgets, procurement specifications, and technical evaluations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, infrastructure standards, and operational procedures.
- Lead, mentor, and develop infrastructure engineers and technical support teams.
- Provide technical leadership during critical incidents, disaster recovery activities, and major infrastructure outages.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies that improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree is considered an advantage.
Experience
- 7–10+ years of experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Minimum 3 years in an Infrastructure Manager, Infrastructure Lead, or similar leadership role.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-scale IT environments.
- Experience delivering infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.
- Experience managing vendors and service providers.
- Experience working in large enterprise or highly regulated environments is highly preferred.
