Junior Accountant

Description:

InZone is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Dubai. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring accountant who has a strong foundation in accounting and external auditing, with a desire to grow in a fast-paced and professional environment. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of financial tasks, ranging from day-to-day accounting functions to compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting & Financial Reporting:
  Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to IFRS. Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system and ensure compliance with the company’s accounting policies.

• External Auditing Support:
  Collaborate with external auditors during audits and help provide necessary documentation. Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and ensure all financial activities are transparent and in compliance with industry standards.

• Tax Compliance & VAT:
  Ensure accurate calculations and timely submission of VAT returns. Assist in the preparation of corporate tax filings and ensure that the company adheres to all local tax regulations.

• Accounting Software Management:
  Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP to input financial data, reconcile accounts, and produce reports. Ensure that all records are accurate and up-to-date.

• Invoice Processing & Reconciliation:
  Process incoming and outgoing invoices and assist in the reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable. Ensure that all transactions are documented properly and discrepancies are resolved promptly.

• General Ledger Management:
  Assist in maintaining the general ledger, including recording journal entries, adjusting entries, and ensuring accurate account balances. Perform monthly reconciliation of financial accounts.

• Compliance & Regulation:
  Stay updated on IFRS and other relevant accounting standards. Ensure compliance with all corporate and tax regulations.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• At least 1 year of experience in accounting, auditing, or a similar role

• Solid understanding of IFRS, VAT, and corporate tax regulations in the UAE

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management abilities

• Must be based in the UAE or willing to relocate immediately
