Hiring – Junior Counselor

Overview:
GEMS Founders School – Al Barsha is seeking a caring and proactive Junior Counselor to join their student support team immediately. The role focuses on delivering high-quality counseling services to students and providing guidance and support to families, helping foster a safe and nurturing school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and academic concerns.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and school leadership to identify students’ needs and develop intervention plans.
• Support students’ social and emotional development through targeted programs and activities.
• Maintain confidential student records and prepare progress reports.
• Participate in case meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches for student welfare.
• Offer crisis support and timely referrals to external specialists when required.

Requirements:
• Full-time Bachelor’s degree in Counseling or Psychology.
• Minimum 1 year of school counseling experience within the UAE education sector.
• Bilingual — fluent in English and proficient in spoken Arabic.
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with children and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents.
