Malvern International is entering an ambitious new phase of global growth. As part of our strategic expansion plans, we are seeking to appoint a Key Account & Emerging Markets Director to lead the development and execution of our global key account strategy while driving growth across high-potential emerging markets.
This is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for expanding Malvern International’s global footprint, strengthening strategic partnerships, and delivering sustainable recruitment and revenue growth across established and emerging territories.
The appointed candidate will be a commercially driven, strategic leader with a proven track record in international education recruitment and partnership development. Central to this role is the ability to operate at both executive and operational levels, driving performance through:
· Executive-level relationship management
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, target-driven, and a strong team player with a flexible approach to work. The role will involve international travel across emerging and established recruitment markets.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and implement a global key account strategy aligned with Malvern International’s commercial and recruitment objectives.
· Identify, secure and manage global recruitment partners, major agency groups, and institutional relationships (day-to-day management of key accounts will be managed by the corresponding Regional Manager/Regional Director).
· Drive expansion into emerging student recruitment markets internationally.
· Help drive enrolments from rest of world emerging markets and ensure delivery from key accounts.
· Lead negotiation of commercial agreements with strategic partners, government sponsors and large-scale recruitment networks.
· Deliver against agreed global recruitment and revenue targets.
· Develop and execute structured market entry strategies for new territories.
· Provide market intelligence and competitor analysis to inform executive decision-making.
· Lead accurate forecasting, pipeline development, and performance reporting.
· Work collaboratively with regional recruitment teams to maximise enrolment conversion and partner performance.
· Represent Malvern International at global recruitment events, conferences, and executive partner meetings.
· Ensure compliance with UKVI regulations and international recruitment best practice.
· Contribute to pricing strategy, product positioning, and partnership models to support global growth.
· Support with requests from university partners to support a ‘one team’ approach.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
· Educated to degree level.
· Extensive experience within the international education recruitment sector (5 years minimum).
· Proven track record of delivering significant revenue growth across multiple regions.
· Demonstrable experience managing global key accounts and strategic partnerships.
· Experience developing emerging markets and new territories including strategy development.
· Strong commercial acumen with advanced negotiation and influencing skills.
· Experience managing large revenue targets and commercial budgets.
· Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
· Strong understanding of UKVI regulations and global student mobility trends.
· Experience working across multiple cultural and regional markets.
· Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a frequent basis.
· Experience within the UK pathway sector and a demonstratable track record of success recruiting to UK HE Institutions through pathways.
