Laundry Specialist

Description:

QVIK Laundry is seeking skilled Laundry Specialists to join our premium garment care team. You will be responsible for the efficient and careful processing of fabrics, operating washers/dryers, folding/hanging clean items, restocking supplies, and potentially performing minor sewing or repairs.

This role requires attention to detail, strict adherence to hygiene standards, and the ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Carefully inspect incoming and outgoing garments for stains, damage, or special care requirements to ensure quality control. Treat stains effectively before washing (pre-spotting).

· Efficiently operate washers and dryers to ensure proper cleaning of garments and fabrics. Select appropriate wash cycles, temperatures, and chemical dosages for different types of fabrics.

· Use pressing equipment to remove wrinkles and give garments a polished appearance, following specific care instructions for different fabric types.

· Neatly fold or hang cleaned items according to store standards, ensuring they are ready for customer pickup or delivery.

· Cleaning and maintaining laundry machines, emptying lint traps, ensuring the laundry facility is clean, and performing basic troubleshooting.

· Monitoring and restocking detergents, softeners, laundry bags, and other cleaning supplies.

· Regularly check and maintain laundry equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.

· Perform minor alterations, such as hemming, sewing up tears, or replacing buttons.

· Maintain strict adherence to hygiene and safety standards throughout the laundry process.

· Work closely with other staff members to ensure a seamless workflow from intake to delivery.
