Description:
Take care of diversity and availability of the procure network all the times.
Maintains an up-to-date database of the submarine cable capacity availability and pricing.
Localize the traffic in UAE for a customer experience and support Sales/Product teams to attract more contents hosting in UAE. Verifies the invoices of all procured capacity for certification and maintains database of certified payments. Verify the agreements and coordinate with contracts. Arrange for the Solution Architects whenever needed.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate with suppliers for the purchase and renewal of the services and new deals.
- Prepare Conversion Forms/ SOF etc. to facilitate the activation of capacity
- Verifies the IRU (Indefeasible Right to Use), ROW (Right Of Way) agreements etc. proposed by Contracts; suggest comments to safeguard Etisalat interests.
- Prepares all budget requisites for management approval and verifies the inclusion of the requested items in the approved budget.
- EMIX localization contents for a better customer experience
- Participate in sales meetings with CDN customer as a technical back up to address their technical concerns related to localization
- Monitoring the traffic closely to identify the potential contents, initiate communication with their technical contacts and then introduce them to our sales team for the localization of the content. Focus on Gaming and Videos.
- Supporting Sales & Product teams to promote Smart Hub-IX in order to attract more customers for localization.
- Supporting Product team for optimizing SMARTHUB co-lo space by closely working with Engineering for arranging hosting facility for the cache set up provided by big layers such as Google, Facebook, Akamai etc. To keep smart hub facility exclusively as a commercial facility.
- Enhancing Internet peering relationships. Participation in peering community, Evaluating the PNI requests received from the ISPs and CDNs for the traffic content ehind it and exploring the possibility of the localization
- Solution Architect for the Wholesales Department and other Departments
- Updates and maintains database for the availability and pricing details of all submarine cable and satellite systems.
- Closely coordinates with other teams within C&W and suppliers for new capacity purchase and closures.
- Prepares yearly EMIX capacity forecast.
- Verifies invoices of capacity purchases and certification of invoices for payments; maintains database of payments certified
- Assist in preparing the capacity dashboard in all existing cables and satellite.
- Traffic Analysis: Assists in analyzing the network and request for any required upgrades before reaching agreed threshold utilization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 years' experience in capacity purchasing
