Description:
The Head of Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of carpentry, steel fabrication, aluminium, and waterjet production departments. This role ensures that production goals are met efficiently and safely while maintaining the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader, responsible for resource management, workflow coordination, and continuous process improvements to enhance productivity and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage end-to-end production operations across carpentry, steel fabrication, aluminium, and waterjet production.
- Develop and implement production planning strategies to optimize efficiency, minimize waste, and meet project deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and secure workplace.
- Lead and manage production teams, providing training, guidance, and performance monitoring.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet industry and customer standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement of raw materials to prevent production delays.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to align production goals with business objectives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain operational excellence.
- Analyze production metrics, generate reports, and present insights to senior management.
- Ensure all manufacturing operations comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field.
Experience & Skills
- 10+ years of experience in production management or Head of Manufacturing roles within the carpentry, steel fabrication, aluminium, or waterjet industries.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee large-scale production teams.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities to coordinate multiple production lines.
- Proficiency in production planning, quality control principles, and process optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle operational challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Certifications in Manufacturing, Production Management, or Quality Control (preferred)
