Middleweight Interior Designer

We are looking for an extremely organised, creative and technically strong mid-weight interior designer to join our growing team

 

We are growing in the UAE and looking to recruit a creative, organised and technical FF&E designer whose strengths lie in project coordination and FF&E to join our international team in Dubai (Dubai based only)

 

Role & Responsibilities

Participate in all stages of the design process under direction of the senior designers and directors.

Assist in the development of concepts, FF&E design and space planning.

Prepare and develop presentations for client meetings.

Put together schedules, specifications and design intent packages to a high quality.

Ensuring that all administrative records are being completed thoroughly and company standards are being met.

Conduct site visits and liaise with trades.

Sourcing and general research of materials, finishes and FF&E.

Liaising with suppliers for samples, pricing and following up on lead times.

Assist with costings and formulation of budgets, with some commercial awareness.

Lead the procurement process.

Manage project programmes under the direction of the senior designers and directors.

Knowledge & Skills

Must have minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar luxury design studio and a portfolio of projects worked on at a high level.

Relevant Interior Design/ Interior Architecture Qualification.

The candidate should be fluent in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, In Design and Adobe Photoshop with strong project management & organisational skills.

Proficient in Estimac and Microsoft Office, with a good understanding of the FF&E procurement process.

Candidate should have on site experience and knowledge of liaising with architects, contractors, and suppliers.

Ability to interface with clients and interpret and deliver their requirements.

Good knowledge of FF&E suppliers.

Works well under pressure with an aptitude for multi-tasking.
