Hiring Procurement Specialist – UAE
Job Responsibilities:
- Devising and using fruitful procurement and sourcing strategies
- Negotiating with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies
- Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
- Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
- Examine and test existing contracts
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Preparation of export documentation – invoice, packing list, delivery advice or any shipping documents needed.
- Coordinate with Freight forwarders for outbound logistics.
- Managing Outbound Shipment schedule.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize costs and improve quality.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability criteria.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms for the company.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address sourcing needs.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and process improvement.
- Assess and manage risks associated with the supply chain.
- Utilize data analytics to track key performance indicators and make informed decisions.
- Provide regular reports and updates to management on sourcing metrics.
Requirement or skills:
- Proven working experience as a Procurement Specialist, Procurement Officer, or Head of Procurement
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as dexterity in “reading” the market
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
- Chemical Engineering degree, supply chain management, logistics or engineering.
- Knowledge about Shipping documents and International Shipping.
- 5 Years Experience in Logistics Company.
- 5 Years Experience in Importing and Exporting.
- Familiarity in Incoterms.
- Note: The applicant must be residing in Dubai.
