Description:
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to oversee the complete operations of a joinery and interior fit-out manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and project deadlines are achieved efficiently.
This role requires strong expertise in joinery production, factory operations, manpower management, production planning, machinery maintenance, and coordination with project execution teams.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations Management
- Plan, organize, and supervise all factory operations related to joinery and interior fit-out works.
- Ensure production schedules align with project timelines and site requirements.
- Monitor daily production activities including:
- Carpentry works
- Veneer works
- Painting & polishing
- CNC operations
- Assembly & packing
- Optimize factory productivity while minimizing material wastage.
- Ensure smooth workflow across:
- Cutting
- Machining
- Assembly
- Finishing
- Dispatch
- Coordinate with project managers regarding delivery priorities and installation schedules.
Manpower Management
- Lead and manage:
- Supervisors
- Foremen
- Machine operators
- Carpenters
- Painters
- Polishers
- Factory workers
- Allocate manpower effectively based on workload and production priorities.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide training to improve workforce productivity and technical skills.
- Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Quality Control
- Ensure all manufactured items comply with:
- Approved shop drawings
- Specifications
- Client quality standards
- Monitor quality throughout every stage of production.
- Ensure high finishing standards for:
- Veneer
- Laminate
- Paint
- Polish
- Upholstery works
- Minimize rework and maintain consistent production quality.
Material & Inventory Control
- Coordinate with procurement and stores teams for timely availability of materials and hardware.
- Monitor inventory levels of:
- MDF
- Plywood
- Veneer
- Laminates
- Hardware
- Paints
- Accessories
- Consumables
- Minimize material wastage and control consumption effectively.
- Verify material requisitions and monitor stock movement.
Machinery & Maintenance
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of machinery including:
- CNC machines
- Edge banders
- Panel saws
- Spray booths
- Compressors
- Woodworking equipment
- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Ensure machinery safety standards are maintained at all times.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with factory safety regulations and HSE standards.
- Conduct toolbox talks and regular safety briefings.
- Ensure workers use proper PPE and maintain safe work practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping across the production facility.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with:
- Design teams
- Estimation teams
- Procurement teams
- Site execution teams
- Attend production and project coordination meetings.
- Prepare:
- Daily production reports
- Weekly progress reports
- Monthly operational reports
- Report delays, production issues, and operational concerns to management.
