Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fine Arts Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of fine arts projects, exhibitions, and related creative initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with artists, curators, designers, production teams, and external partners to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high professional standard. This is a hands-on role that combines project management, artistic coordination, and stakeholder communication in a dynamic and creative environment. Responsibilities Lead planning and delivery for fine arts projects, exhibitions, and related initiatives from concept to completion. Coordinate with artists, curators, designers, production teams, and external partners to manage timelines, deliverables, and execution. Produce project briefs, schedules, production plans, and supporting documentation that communicate objectives clearly. Develop project timelines, manage milestones, and coordinate implementation with internal teams and external vendors. Manage project budgets, schedules, and supplier / contractor relationships. Organize supporting activities such as meetings, workshops, reviews, presentations, and project-related materials. Liaise with artistic and institutional partners to ensure accurate, efficient, and professional delivery of fine arts projects. Oversee documentation, photography, and archival records for each project or exhibition. Support fundraising, proposals, and internal approvals by preparing summaries and project materials. Monitor project progress, stakeholder feedback, and outcomes; refine workflows to increase efficiency, quality, and engagement. Qualifications Minimum BA/MA in Fine Arts, Arts Management, Curatorial Studies, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent professional experience preferred. At least 3–5 years of project management, exhibition coordination, or related experience in a gallery, museum, cultural institution, or equivalent setting. Demonstrable interest in and familiarity with fine arts and contemporary cultural practice; deep technical expertise is not required, but proven ability to learn and collaborate with artists and institutions is essential. Strong organizational, writing, and editorial skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging project materials. Project management experience: budgets, timelines, supplier coordination, and logistics. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience building cross-disciplinary collaborations between artists, institutions, and creative teams. Experience programming public talks, workshops, or educational activities. Commitment to accessible presentation and ethical engagement with artistic content. Portfolio or track record of fine arts projects, exhibitions, or related work (links or PDF).
