Point Contracting is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Purchaser to join its procurement team in Dubai. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who brings hands-on procurement experience within the contracting and construction industry of the UAE.

As a Purchaser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth acquisition of materials and services essential for ongoing and upcoming projects. You will be responsible for handling the full procurement cycle – from vendor selection and negotiation to delivery coordination and compliance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess project needs and source materials accordingly, ensuring all procurement aligns with project timelines and budgets.

• Negotiate favorable pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and vendors.

• Maintain relationships with current suppliers while scouting for new, cost-effective, and quality sources.

• Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and delivery timelines.

• Collaborate with internal teams, such as engineering, project management, and finance, to align procurement with operational requirements.

• Manage procurement documentation, including purchase orders, delivery notes, and vendor contracts.

• Utilize ERP systems for accurate procurement tracking and reporting.

• Ensure adherence to the company's procurement policies and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.

• 4 to 5 years of proven experience working in procurement or purchasing roles within the UAE's contracting or construction sectors.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to negotiate effectively.

• Hands-on experience with ERP procurement modules and good command over supply chain workflows.

• Proficient in vendor management, material planning, and supply chain operations.

• Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
