Reservations & Revenue Manager

 

Description:

The Reservations & Revenue Manager is responsible for maximizing hotel revenue through strategic pricing, inventory control, demand forecasting, and effective management of the reservations function. In a highly competitive 5-star business hotel environment in Dubai, this role ensures optimal performance across all distribution channels while maintaining brand standards, service excellence, and strong collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Front Office, and Finance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Revenue Management:

  • Develop and execute revenue strategies to maximize RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy across all market segments.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly demand forecasting and business analysis.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, citywide events, and economic indicators affecting demand in Dubai.
  • Implement dynamic pricing strategies across all distribution channels.
  • Lead rate loading, inventory controls, and restriction management (BAR, promotions, packages, MLOS, CTA/CTD).
  • Analyze performance reports and recommend corrective actions to achieve budget and forecast targets.

 

Reservations Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Reservations Department to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and service excellence.
  • Ensure reservations policies, procedures, and upselling standards are consistently applied.
  • Monitor conversion rates, call handling quality, and booking accuracy.
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office to manage overbooking strategies and arrival patterns.
  • Ensure effective management of group blocks, cut-off dates, and rooming lists.

 

Distribution & Systems:

  • Manage all distribution channels including Brand.com, OTAs, GDS, wholesalers, and corporate negotiated accounts.
  • Optimize channel mix to minimize cost of acquisition and maximize profitability.
  • Maintain accuracy of rates, availability, and content across all systems.
  • Work closely with IT and vendors to ensure optimal use of RMS, PMS, CRS, and channel manager tools.

 

Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to align revenue strategies with promotional and business development initiatives.
  • Participate in revenue meetings and provide insights to senior leadership.
  • Train, coach, and develop the Reservations team with a strong focus on performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Foster a revenue-driven culture across operational departments.

 

Reporting & Budgeting:

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly revenue and reservations reports for management.
  • Support the annual budgeting and business planning process.
  • Track performance against budget and forecast, identifying risks and opportunities.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Revenue Management and/or Reservations Management within a 5-star hotel, preferably in Dubai or the GCC.
  • Strong understanding of the Dubai corporate, MICE, and transient business segments.
  • Proven experience with revenue management systems and hotel technology platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
