Safety Officer

Description:

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Officer to oversee and strengthen health, safety, and environmental practices across active project sites within the UAE. This role is ideal for a professional who is committed to maintaining high safety standards and ensuring full compliance with local HSE regulations.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in fostering a safe and disciplined working environment by implementing and monitoring site safety procedures, identifying potential hazards, and promoting a strong safety culture among all team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies across project locations
• Conduct routine daily site inspections to identify potential risks and unsafe conditions
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work practices
• Deliver regular toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions to site teams
• Document, report, and follow up on incidents, near-misses, and non-compliance issues
• Assist in maintaining a safe, well-organized, and compliant site environment

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of UAE health and safety regulations and compliance standards
• Prior experience working on construction projects is highly preferred
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills
• Ability to remain vigilant, organized, and proactive in high-risk environments
